We feel enormously blessed that our fine state of Louisiana, and our state capital specifically, is such a popular destination for film and television production companies. In fact, Raleigh Studios Baton Rouge at the Celtic Media Centre is the largest studio facility in the state.

Here are some more fun facts about it.

1. The facility includes over 150,000 square feet of design-built stage space and 80,000 square feet of office space.

2. The Celtic Media Centre is part of the Celtic Group, which was founded in 1985 by Irish native Brendan O’Connor. The Centre was born in 2005.

3. Its first large sound stage opened in 2008.

4. The Celtic Centre’s Stage 5 is 28,000 square feet and boasts 70-foot ceilings.

5. Naming names: these TV shows and films have taken advantage of the Centre’s state-of-the-art facility/space: True Blood, Breakout Kings, Twilight Breaking Dawn (parts 1 and 2, which the Centre successfully hosted at the same time).
